I am a mother to a beautiful daughter. I have worked in the hospitality customer service industry for over 15 years. I always knew I wanted to do more than just sit behind a desk. My passion to create was getting stronger and finally one year I decided to play around with polymer clay. I love to work with my hands, and this became a new love of mine. I decided to sign up at my local Market here in town and oh my goodness, it was fun, scary and exciting. Hearing all the compliments of my work and seeing people's facial expressions as they fall in love with a new pair of earrings they just had to have, was the best feeling.

It is extremely important to me that I fall in love with each design/style myself. I am not one to mass produce and quickly make styles just to sell. Creating art and creating in the style of jewelry has become a passion of mine. I know my earrings are not for everyone but when they find their new homes and I get to see the reactions, the joy it brings, the confidence it builds, that they fall in love again. They fall in love again with the earrings, how they themselves look and make them feel. It's that spark of a new love feeling.

Idea to final product

Each design first starts with a sketch. Designs from sketch to clay can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days. Sometimes the original color palette doesn't work, or the hardware doesn't fit the style. I try on each design to test how they look and feel, actually my daughter and I both do (she absolutely loves earrings). We have sensitive ears so it's very important to us to make sure the earring hardware is the best quality.
